The Company

BFT-Group aims to remove the concerns many business owners have when considering selling their business. These owners have grown and run their businesses successfully for years and, therefore, naturally worry whether they are selling to people who will continue the business when they sell for personal reasons, such as retirement, to pursue other interests or due to family circumstances. The question they have is “What will happen to my business, the staff, and my longstanding customers if I decide to sell to a stranger?”

A signpost with indications for ethics, respect, integrity and diversity. We fully understand these concerns. We deeply respect the vendors and our sole interest for acquiring these businesses is to ensure their continued growth for the benefit of all stakeholders and the communities of which they are a part. We want to see them grow and prosper.

Integrity, respect, and engagement are at the core of our operating values. It is  fundamental to us to develop a meaningful relationship with the vendor. It is imperative that we understand you and your aspirations for the business so that we can truly gain insight and understanding of your decision to sell. We understand that confidentiality is key to maintaining stability of the business. Therefore, it is important to emphasise that all conversations and exchanges of information of any kind between a vendor and BFT-Group will be protected by our Privacy Policy and our mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This also applies to our process of Due Diligence (DD).

It is of great importance to us that all the meetings between BFT Group and vendors take place in person via Zoom or in person to foster genuine relationships. We want to get to know you as a person and for this reason, we never acquire through brokers or via lawyers, even when a vendor has been referred to us by such professions. We refuse to use brokers simply because it is not personal and it tends to diminish the value of the company, delay the transaction, add layers of unnecessary complexity and expense.

An image of two people in suits shaking handsOur relationship with you, and your business are our only focus. We always try to meet vendors expectations of an affordable, fair price that reflects the underlying value of the business. If our proposal is accepted in broad terms, we will quite literally sit with the vendor and write the sale & purchase agreement together.

After the sale, BFT Group will, as the new owner with board control, ensure a smooth ownership transition, appropriate governance, oversee the company’s performance, and support the management team in developing strategic objectives and plans.
